The True Strength of Print-on-Demand Publishing

…may very well lie in the fact that every issue is virtually a special edition.

Jillian's Gold -- a novel by Levi Montgomery My third novel, Jillian’s Gold, was actually completed almost one year ago, but it has not been published yet, because I haven’t been happy with the page layout. Call me OCD, call me a control freak, call me whatever you want to, but the fact is that I find it very hard to release something that is not as perfect as I can make it, although my continual ascent up the learning curves I find means that no matter how good it is when I release it, I’ll find a way next week or next month or next year to make it better.

I’m still not happy with one particular aspect of the page layout in Jillian’s Gold, which was a rather complex undertaking, due to the format of the book, but I’ve just ordered one last proof copy, and unless I see glaring issues, the book will go live within a week or two.

I might not be able to make that decision, if I was getting an initial print run of umpty-ump copies, but since every copy printed is a copy sold, I can always do a second edition at some point down the road.

So watch this space, and get ‘em while they’re hot, ‘cause the first edition is a limited edition!
