…may very well lie in the fact that every issue is virtually a special edition.
My third novel, Jillian’s Gold, was actually completed almost one year ago, but it has not been published yet, because I haven’t been happy with the page layout. Call me OCD, call me a control freak, call me whatever you want to, but the fact is that I find it very hard to release something that is not as perfect as I can make it, although my continual ascent up the learning curves I find means that no matter how good it is when I release it, I’ll find a way next week or next month or next year to make it better.
I’m still not happy with one particular aspect of the page layout in Jillian’s Gold, which was a rather complex undertaking, due to the format of the book, but I’ve just ordered one last proof copy, and unless I see glaring issues, the book will go live within a week or two.
I might not be able to make that decision, if I was getting an initial print run of umpty-ump copies, but since every copy printed is a copy sold, I can always do a second edition at some point down the road.
So watch this space, and get ‘em while they’re hot, ‘cause the first edition is a limited edition!

As always, another attractive cover! Congrats on your latest book release!

Thank you! Please note that I have updated the page for “Jillian’s Gold,” to include the new cover image and (drumroll) A 16-PAGE PREVIEW!
And I have no idea at all why I can’t get a link to appear here:

e-mail me a .pdf and i’ll critique the layout for you.
i’m hard to please, so i pass it, you can feel fine…

Thank you, but the problem I’m having isn’t actually an issue with the appearance of the page, it’s the fact that CreateSpace can’t achieve the layout I want. It looks fine in PDF, but they can’t do it in the book.
ok, hey, best of luck with all that;
i hope they get it straightened out.

Thanks!
